All human beings are expected to be at equal footing - all are supposed to worship the same creator".

by the followting

Everything in the universe is bound by the same fundamental rules of nature. All living beings should be treated as friends. Everyone has a right to fulfil their spiritual needs in accordance with their view of salvation.

since in Jainism/Buddhism, the world was not created, it is governed by fair rules without the intervention of any deity/entity, and any worship is for one's own spiritual inspiration.

YashwantYashwant Malaiyanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2801020625658998297.post-6310346819391772132009-04-18T12:40:00.000-05:002009-04-18T12:40:00.000-05:00Mabrook Mike!!!

The problem however is not those who have your point of view but who are of the view, that there is one path to God.
I was told by a Catholic friend of mine that a decent person like me should not go to hell, because I have not adopted Christianity. I told him I am more interested in this world than after world. And I don't see how things will change - since I am almost agnostic now. Though I take part in cultural part of the religion I was born into. I also participate in any other religious festival if a friend invites me or it is in the neighborhood, I live. Your statement:"God has not signed up a deal with any religion behind our back, he just cannot do that. Let’s honor every tradition and faith whether they believe in one, multiple or no God. The essence of the creator and causer of the universe does not change with our beliefs.

Let’s learn to accept the otherness of other and respect the God given uniqueness of each one of the 7 billion of us, then conflicts fade and solutions emerge."
sums it up beautifully. Thank you.
Unfortunately, you are not the minority that is the problem, those who are in need to be communicated to. Every day many children are indoctrinated in to the hate philosophy, that goes in the name of Islam, with Saudi sponsorship money. Every year millions are coming out of the madrasas in poor part of the subcontinent, where the Govt. schools are abominable and getting worse by the day.
There is a task cut out for the thought leaders like you. I must state here that no religion, is free of such biases. and as Late Prof. I. K. Shukla used to say "Hindu Taliban", do exist. And Saraswati Vidya Mandirs are kind of mirror image of Madrassa. All these are problems which can be taken care of if thought leaders unite.Sandip K. Dasvermahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03288589903537297131noreply@blogger.com
